Ajanta Caves, IN
According to Walter Spink
The Ajanta Caves are 30 rock-cut Buddhist cave monuments located in the Aurangabad district of Maharashtra state in India; these monuments were carved into a 75-metre wall of rock. According to Walter Spink, the early caves were made during the period 100 BCE to 100 CE. This construction probably occurred under the patronage of the Satavahana dynasty. The Satavahana dynasty existed from 230 BCE to 220 CE. The Ajanta Caves date from the second century BCE to about 480 CE.
