Angkor Wat, KH

From the late 13th century

Angkor Wat is a temple complex in Siem Reap, Cambodia. It is a Vaishnava Hindu and Theravada Buddhist site and the largest religious complex globally. Construction began in 1122 CE and was finished in 1150 CE. From the late 13th century, it was primarily associated with Theravāda Buddhism and has remained in continuous religious use, aiding its preservation.
