Brussels Airport is the main international

Brussels Airport is the main international airport of Belgium. Construction of the new terminal began on April 1957 to prepare for the 1958 World's Fair (Expo 58). In 2016, the airport's departures hall suffered severe damage from two terrorist bomb blasts, forcing its closure until April 3, 2016, when it reopened with temporary facilities operating at less than 20% of its previous capacity.
