Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, IT
Inspired by English football stadiums
Giuseppe Meazza Stadium is in Milan's San Siro district; Construction started in 1925, and the stadium was first called Nuovo Stadio Calcistico San Siro. Architects planned it as a private football-only venue, avoiding the athletics tracks common in publicly funded Italian stadiums. Inspired by English football stadiums, the design included four separate stands.
