One way in, one way out
In January 846 the Slavic prince Pribina began building a fortress here as his seat of power, and several churches with it. The Zala brings in most of the water. One canalized channel, the Sió, takes it out. Ilyushin Il-2 wrecks have been pulled from the lake, shot down in the later months of the war.
