The Minaret of Jam is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in western Afghanistan. It was constructed around 1190 and is believed to have been commissioned by a noble woman during the Ghurid Dynasty. The minaret commemorates the victory of Mu'izz ad-Din, the brother of Ghiyath ud-Din, over Prithviraj Chauhan.
