Niokolo-Koba National Park is a protected area in Senegal. It was established as a reserve in 1925 and became a national park on January 1, 1954. Since 2005, the park has been designated as a Lion Conservation Unit. In 2007, it was listed as an endangered World Heritage site by UNESCO and remained on the list until 2024, when it was removed following improvements in its conservation status.
