Noto is a city and comune in the Province of Syracuse, Sicily, Italy; the medieval town was virtually razed by the 1693 Sicilian earthquake and subsequently rebuilt. Palazzo Ducezio, the town hall, was designed by Vincenzo Sinatra. Scenes from the 2015 film By the Sea were filmed in Noto.
